Reuters published an obviously altered photograph of the damage in Beirut, which made the damage look much worse. Reuters is, of course, blaming the photographer (who was a stringer, not an employee). But one is left wondering just what the alledged layers of editorial oversight do if they couldn’t spot this fake.
